My Family's Stories

This section started off as a tribute to my grandfather and his life as a young lad. For years I had read his "Stories for my Grandchildren" and learned much from his writings. It then occurred to me that the stories could be shared much easier with my cousin's abroad and other people if they were posted on the internet. My task was set.

After about 30 hours of my Christmas holiday it was done and my personal web site now boasted my grandfathers writings. The feedback from my cousin's and friends who browse the site was really encouraging. They ACTUALLY READ the stories.

Then I decided that since I too hope to have kids (some day) that not just my grandfathers stories but also their grandfathers stories should be here as well. And their grandmothers stories. I hope to over the next few months post interesting stories from my family so that hopefully we can all learn about how life was for people growing up in an era different to our own.
